UHC is about ensuring that people have access to the health care they need without suffering financial hardship. UHC will allow Bangladesh and other developing countries to make the most of their strongest asset: human capital. Health is a crucial investment in human capital and in economic growth–without good health, children are unable to go to school and adults are unable to function productively.Moving towards UHC needs sustainable financing, investment in skilled health workers, reliable service delivery, meticulous data management, and comprehensive access to medicines. Broadly stated, a focus on health care allows policy makers improve human wellbeing – and offer a meaningful scope to human life.
