Professor Dr. Abul Kalam Azad passed his Honours and Masters in International Relations from the University of Dhaka. He obtained a Master in Marine Management degree from the Dalhousie University, Halifax, Canada. He obtained DEA (Diplomed’EtudesAffrofondies) from the Institute of Political Studies, University of Aix-Marseilles III, France. His obtained his Ph. D from the same university. His Ph. D dissertation is :‘The Role of India as a Regional Power in South Asia – The Response of Pakistan and Bangladesh – A Comparative Study’. Dr. Azad obtained a diploma in Peace and Conflict studies from the Uppasala University, Sweden.
Dr. Azad has to his credit a number of articles published in books and journals both at home and abroad. He visited a number of countries for the purpose of seminars, workshops, fellowships etc. He is proficient in French.
